The tipping point arrives when 
you realize that what you think
you'll do forever. . . 
you see forever appear with 
a sunrise, nodding, smiling,
disappearing, glancing back.
It is that simple, quietly stark,
no bells and whistles --
a slip in time occurs.  A shift

in language inside,
"as if" slides in before "forever"
and your lungs and heart expand
to carry the weight of two small words
as you hear, "I'll do that forever!" echoing
