I am doing the math never taught –
the mathematics of time.
I am not good at the addition or
subtraction or division or
multiplication.  And these are
the basics I am having a hard
time with.  There are sages and
masters who teach this but
their dislodging simplicity
is hard to grasp – and their laughter,
I think is lovingly given, is hard
to take.  There’s so much more
to one plus one than I ever knew.
